Chelsea’s hopes of signing Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran may be over, as the Midlands club is reportedly ready to accept a £59m bid from Saudi side Al-Nassr. The 21-year-old has been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal, and West Ham throughout the January transfer window, but Al-Nassr’s lucrative offer appears to have put them in pole position. West Ham previously had two bids rejected, with their latest offer falling just short of the Saudi club’s proposal. Duran, who has played a supporting role behind Ollie Watkins this season, has made an impact off the bench, scoring 12 goals in 28 appearances. The Colombian international even impressed in the Champions League, scoring a stunning winner against Bayern Munich. Despite speculation surrounding his future, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has publicly insisted he wants to keep Duran at the club, though it now looks likely that he will leave for the Saudi Pro League, where he could link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
