Chelsea-bound wonderkid Estevao Willian continues to impress in Brazil, scoring a stunning brace for Palmeiras as he follows in the footsteps of Neymar ahead of his summer move to Stamford Bridge.
Estevao Willian, the highly-rated Brazilian forward set to join Chelsea this summer, delivered another reminder of his immense talent with two brilliant goals for Palmeiras in a 3-0 win over Sao Bernardo. The 17-year-old, dubbed ‘Messinho’, has been in outstanding form, taking his tally to five goals in 11 games in the Campeonato Paulista this season.
Chelsea secured Estevao’s signature last September in a deal worth an initial £29m, potentially rising to £51m with add-ons. The teenager, who has already drawn comparisons to Neymar and Lamine Yamal, has now reached 20 goals and 10 assists in 57 senior appearances. He is also the first Brazilian since Neymar in 2010 to reach 30 goal contributions before turning 18. With his official move to Stamford Bridge set for after his birthday in April, Chelsea fans will be eagerly anticipating his arrival.
