Chelsea will discover their UEFA Conference League last-16 opponent today, with the draw taking place at 1pm GMT at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The Blues will face either Real Betis or FC Copenhagen after the completion of the play-off ties.
Chelsea, who won all eight of their games in the league phase, are considered strong favourites to win the Conference League. With domestic cup competitions out of reach and Champions League qualification uncertain through the Premier League, the tournament presents a valuable opportunity for silverware.
After the play-off round, Chelsea’s potential opponents have been narrowed to Real Betis or FC Copenhagen. Betis defeated Gent 3-1 on aggregate, while Copenhagen edged past Heidenheim 4-3 after extra-time. The first leg of the last-16 will be played on March 6, with the return fixture at Stamford Bridge on March 13.
Chelsea will be eager to advance deep into the tournament as they seek their first-ever UEFA Conference League title.
