Chelsea have been linked with numerous players this January but are yet to finalise any incoming transfers. However, reports from Portugal now suggest that the Blues are set to complete a surprise £17m deal for 19-year-old midfielder Dario Essugo. Currently on loan at Las Palmas, Essugo will need to be recalled by Sporting CP before completing the move. This deal comes alongside Chelsea’s ongoing pursuit of Mathis Amougou from Saint-Étienne, as the club continues to stockpile young talent.
