We returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over West Ham, courtesy of Pedro Neto’s equaliser and a deflected own goal from Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, our win came at a cost as both Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu picked up injury concerns. Jackson appeared to have pulled up early in the first half and, although he managed to play through most of it, he was eventually substituted in the early stages of the second half. Similarly, Marc Guiu stretched when trying to latch onto a cutback from Pedro Neto in the closing stages and required treatment after the final whistle. Our manager Enzo Maresca reassured us that both players reported feeling okay, but their exact return dates remain unknown. In addition, Romeo Lavia continues to be affected by a muscle injury that he suffered against Bournemouth, and he has not featured since. Maresca mentioned that we need to wait a few more weeks to determine his return. Other updates include defender Benoit Badiashile, who has been out since December with a hamstring injury and is expected back by February or March 2025, and Wesley Fofana, whose hamstring injury is likely to rule him out for the remainder of the season.
