Chelsea have added another former Brighton staff member to their ranks, hiring Tom Taylor as their new Lead Physical Performance Coach after his stint at Rangers.
Chelsea have once again turned to Brighton for recruitment, this time hiring Tom Taylor as their Lead Physical Performance Coach. Taylor, who previously spent over four years at Brighton before moving to Rangers as Head of Performance, will now report to Chelsea’s Director of Performance, Bryce Cavanagh.
This move continues Chelsea’s trend of hiring former Brighton employees, with Sporting Director Paul Winstanley—who worked with Taylor at Brighton—playing a key role in the club’s staffing decisions. While Chelsea made minimal moves in the January transfer window, focusing instead on player loans, they continue to bolster their backroom staff in an effort to improve the team’s physical conditioning and long-term performance.
