Chelsea have secured the signing of 17-year-old Corinthians left-back Denner Evangelista, continuing their aggressive push to recruit South America's top young talent. The Brazilian U17 international will move to Stamford Bridge in 2026 after turning 18.
Chelsea have reportedly agreed to sign Denner Evangelista from Corinthians in a deal worth an initial €10m (£8.5m), with an additional €4m (£3m) in performance-based add-ons. The transfer also includes a 15% sell-on clause. Denner, who will sign a seven-year contract until 2032, will officially join Chelsea in 2026 after reaching the age of 18.
The young left-back has impressed at youth level in Brazil, particularly in the prestigious Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior (Copinha), where he was one of the standout performers. He scored three goals and registered one assist in the tournament, including the opener in the final against São Paulo. His attacking ability and physicality have drawn comparisons to some of Brazil’s top full-backs.
Denner is the latest in Chelsea’s strategy of securing elite South American talent early, following the signings of Estevao Willian, Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, Angelo Gabriel, Kendry Paez, and Aaron Anselmino.
