Chelsea have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for Ben Chilwell to move on loan until the end of the season. The 28-year-old has been out of favour under Enzo Maresca and has played just one match this season. Palace moved for Chilwell after injuries in their squad, while Everton were also interested but were unable to sign another Chelsea player due to already having Armando Broja on loan. Chilwell, who joined Chelsea for £50 million in 2020 and was part of their 2021 Champions League-winning squad, has struggled with injuries in recent seasons.
